Harvest India Bible School is a training programme started by VOICE OF TRUTH MINISTRIES for churches of North India. It is a four month residential training for committed men and women believers. We have 30 students approx. in every session.
The vision of Training ministry is “To Equip and empower Gods people for the work of ministry and save millions of perishing souls”. Our Lord Jesus Christ said “the harvest truly is plenty but the labourers are few”. We all cannot go for the training. But there are some people who come forward and get trained for ministry and serve God. These people leave the comfort of their homes, and leave their family, friends, job, City.
MISSION:
The voice of Truth Ministries is committed to pray, preach, teach and raise leaders who will touch lives and change nations.
1. Pillar of Fire Prayer Centre : We have a prayer center where we have Two Pastors, and a dedicated team of believers pray for the needs of the church ,our city and prayer requests sent to us by people from different parts of Punjab and India.
2. Church Ministry:We have a growing church of approx. 350 people from different castes & religions (Hindu, Sikh, Balmiki s, Muslims) in our church, most people are from poor- middle class and poor people.
3. Children Ministry: This is a ministry to the church kids, which includes Sunday school, we have 2 ladies doing ministry to the village and street kids at two different places . The minister to the young and teen kids by teaching them songs, sharing bible stories and testimonies of saved young children.
4. Women Ministry:This is a weekly ministry done by Sis. Anujit kaur on every Thursday. In this meeting she shares the word of God with them and prays for their problems and counsels them.
5. Youth ministry:This is a ministry that we do in our church to train our youth in godly life and counsel them in their problems. We also go in different cities and minister in meetings arranged by different churches and ministries collectively for youth.
6. Revival Ministry, youth camps, Outreaches:This is a preaching ministry that we do in partnership with other churches and ministries in North India. We invite people from different churches and minister to the needs of the people through worship, word of God and Gifts of the Holy Spirit.
7. Training Ministry: Harvest India School of ministry: We do 4 months residential Bible school every year from August-November .we train believers of different churches from different states of India, esp. From North India and send them back to serve in their churches as pastors, evangelists, musicians and worship leaders, etc, whatever their call is. Church planters training is another programme that voice of truth ministries plans to start in January 2009 if God willing by his grace to plant churches in unreached cities and villages of Punjab.
8. H.O.P.E. Project: ''Helping hands for Orphans, Poor People, Economically weak widows and Aged.''
a) Widow Pension Scheme: In this plan we help poor godly widows in our church or city with small financial help according to available funds over a certain period of time.
b) Child Education Plan: In this plan we help few children with their education.we finance their school fee and books over a certain/particular period of time.
c) Old Age Pension plan: In this plan we help poor old people who are not able to work and are abandoned by their children. We give small token of money from our ministry fund as a help to them for their grocery and needs over a particular period of time.
c) Poor Relief Plan: In this plan we help the poor in our church to start their own small work, or donate some bicycle, or tricycle Rickshaw to help them earn their living, or we help very poor family to make their small house.
d) Medical Camps: We also arrange medical camps as blood donation camp, eye-check up camp etc in slums and villages .
e) Clothes Distribution Camp:In this camp we distribute clothes which we have collected from church people or donations and we donate clothes in slums and lepors home and mentally challenged people's asylum.
f)Food charity Camps (Langars):In these camps we give food to our church people the people of the neighbor hood community and poor with the purpose of spreading brotherhood , to fellowship with them and to feed the poor. This we do every month.
FOUNDER AND PASTOR :
Ps. Berty Emerson: God called him in a very special way. In 1984 he started ministry by helping poor and sick in the hospitals, villages. When God called him there was no Pentecostal church in our Patiala city, he had to go to neighboring city of Chandigarh to attend the church service. God has put apostolic anointing upon him. He is
used by God in healing and deliverance ministry powerfully. To name a few miracles 3 dead people were raised in his ministry, a patient suffering from aids got healed, a woman mentally challenged got healed and delivered from many demons.
All Glory to Jesus!!!! .Ps. Emerson’s heart is to plant and pioneer churches in unreached areas of Punjab. He has a growing church in Patiala where people from different castes, religions and status are coming to the saving knowledge of Lord Jesus Christ. Pastor Berty Emerson has anointing to pray and intercede for the people of the world with tears.
CO-FOUNDER AND PASTOR:
Ps.Vijay Emerson Born in a traditional Christian family.Accepted Jesus at the age 17 and was filled with the Holy Spirit. Mechanical Engineer by profession gave up his job and came for ministry in 1997 because of God's calling upon his life. He went through much pain, sufferings , struggles and discipline in life and ministry. He is being used powerfully by God through preaching, teaching and healing/deliverance ministry. His passion is to train leaders/laborers for the harvest and see revival in the land. He has the Grace to pray and intercede for the people of the world with burden.
Anujeet Kaur (Ps. Vijay’s wife) helps him in every aspect of ministry. She is from a Sikh background. She had a powerful encounter with the Lord when she accepted Christ in her life and she has walked faithfully with Him now for 18 years, after suffering much opposition from her family and relatives in beginning. They are happily married and are serving the lord together since 2006.
